St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church 

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Pastor Hicks calls Oklahoma City his

hometown.  After high school, he attended Bethany College in Kansas

and afterwards attended Luther Seminary in Minnesota.

Hicks served two congregations in Flaxville, Montana then a mission

congregation in Wheatland, Wyoming. In 1990, Pastor moved back to

Oklahoma and served congregations in Harrah and Del City.  He retired

in 2014 after 40 years in parish ministry.

Pastor Hicks has been married 44 years to his wife, Lynn. They have

two grown and married sons.  They have one grandson, Orson, who is

7 1/2.  They also have a dog named Otis.
